As our world experiences a day of political chaos in the midst of an insane year, God gave me this prayer to pray…

Restore hearing to our ears
So that we can hear Your voice

Restore sight to our eyes
So that we can see You at work in and around us

Restore the beat of our hearts
So that we can beat for You once again

Restore the breath in our lungs
So that we can breathe You in and out

Restore fire to our souls
So that we can burn for You

Restore empathy to our emotions
So that we can feel the hurt around us as You feel it

Restore action to our feet
So that we can run after You on the path You lay before us

Restore feeling to our hands
So that we can reach out and lift up Your children around us

Restore hope to our hearts
So that we can believe again

Restore strength to our muscles
So that we can stand to fight for You

Restore wisdom and discernment to our minds
So that we would know and recognize Your truth

Restore peace to our chaos
So that we can rest in You

Restore joy to our smiles
So that we can laugh with You

Restore boldness to our convictions
So that we can stand for what’s right

Restore belief to our doubting
So that we can make You known

Restore praise to our voice
So that we can sing of all You’ve done

Restore light to the darkness within us
So that we can shine like lighthouses in a lost world

Restore passion to our apathy
So that we can live life to its very fullest

Restore love to our hearts that have forgotten how to
So that we can love unconditionally
