I’ve been off the international mission field for 8 months now. This season has felt like a reeeaaallllyyyy long game of limbo. But hey, I’m pretty sure my flexibility has reached an all-time high! I’m still holding my plans very loosely, but I’m absolutely thrilled to share what I believe God has in store for me next!

Where am I now?

I had been living with my family since March, which was an incredible blessing and time of building deeper relationships. Two days ago, I moved to a house on 40 acres just outside of Bristow, OK. I’ll be staying there for 2-3 years while the owners attend seminary in Florida. It’s the cutest little place and perfectly set up for my mini zoo of pets. The whole situation couldn’t be more God-orchestrated!

Is E Squad going back out?

Although E Squad’s time on the field is officially over, mine isn’t. Last week, I attended training camp in GA for the second time. I met my new squad, I Squad, and already love them so much! I Squad has the sweetest spirit of community, gentle strength, and passion for reaching the nations. I am humbled to have the opportunity to serve alongside them next year.

What about COVID?

Lord willing, we will be heading to Guatemala in January. So far, the logistics team is giving us a 70% chance of being able to go international that soon. If the situation does change drastically before then, our back-up plan is to launch domestically and serve here in the States.

Where am I headed?

The World Race is transitioning to “hub routes”. Instead of traveling to a new country every month, we’ll stay for 1-3 months in a region where they have a long-term mission base. I Squad plans on going to Guatemala, Spain, Kazakhstan, India, and Thailand or Cambodia. We’ll start at the hub base in each region and then travel to the surrounding areas depending on what is open and where God leads us.

How long will I be gone this time?

So far, God has directed me to only commit to the first 5 months of this trip. While I hope and pray I will get to stay out for the whole 11 months, I’m also peaceful resting in the knowledge that He will lead me exactly when and where I need to go.

What am I most excited for?

Living in a like-minded community led by the Holy Spirit is hands-down the COOLEST part of being on the World Race. Acts 2:42-47 describes the early church, but it also sounds a lot like life on the Race! We do life together. We eat, pray, praise, walk, cry, laugh, serve, learn, and grow together. It’s definitely not easy, but oh, it’s so beautifully good!
